My 2W units as pictured, is toast around 750yds with an elevated TX. The 3W goes to 1000yds no problem.
Those are RC airplane 3cell Lipos. Small light, lots of juice for the size but pricey and you need the proper charging gear. I used to fly RC so had everything kicking around. It works superbly but pricey to set up for.
The small 12V quad/motobike batteries do the same thing, simple and cheap to get, easy to maintain and likely more robust then the lipo cells. The truck can be the power source from the shooting point.
A larger LCD monitor is a good thing. Whatever mini van type monitor that has RCA inputs and a 12V operating voltage.
Today, stuff is plentiful and dirt cheap.
