Picked up a Tavor 7 this week. I've fired about 200 rounds through it, mostly Hirtenberger.
I really like being able to lock the bolt back with charging handle, it's a big improvement.
The mag release is nice, it doesn't push in, it rotates back. It's a little weird. I still haven't gotten use to it, I still want to use the back of my hand to drop the mag.
The QD sling mounts are really nice.
Recoil is mild, the muzzle brake almost works too good, it pushes the muzzle down quite when you do a mag dump.
Trigger is okay, there is 1/8" of take up and it breaks fairly clean.
I started with a Vortex Crossfire red dot, then switched to a Vortex 4-16x44 Diamondback Tactical. Not sure what would be ideal, probably a 1-8 lvpo.
Not bad first group off the bat with a red dot and surplus ammo. It's not best set up for the rear bag. The brass deflector fell off, it was probably my fault though.
I switch to Nosler Match 168 gr and shot a couple groups, the other one was under 2" but this was the best.
