Picked up a Tavor 7 this week. I've fired about 200 rounds through it, mostly Hirtenberger.

I really like being able to lock the bolt back with charging handle, it's a big improvement.

The mag release is nice, it doesn't push in, it rotates back. It's a little weird. I still haven't gotten use to it, I still want to use the back of my hand to drop the mag.

The QD sling mounts are really nice.

Recoil is mild, the muzzle brake almost works too good, it pushes the muzzle down quite when you do a mag dump.

Trigger is okay, there is 1/8" of take up and it breaks fairly clean.

I started with a Vortex Crossfire red dot, then switched to a Vortex 4-16x44 Diamondback Tactical. Not sure what would be ideal, probably a 1-8 lvpo.

Not bad first group off the bat with a red dot and surplus ammo. It's not best set up for the rear bag. The brass deflector fell off, it was probably my fault though.

I switch to Nosler Match 168 gr and shot a couple groups, the other one was under 2" but this was the best.

Nice to see that rifle out in the wild lol. Nice review. Iam so tempted to get one

Do you have any takes on ranking against other battle rifles you've shot? And maybe your overall thoughts on quality vs. price, since I have wondered since release about teething issues

I’ve owned an RFB, I like this a lot better. The quality is excellent. I’m going to start reloading and see how accurate it is.

If you don’t have a Stag 10, you should buy a Stag before this.

It’s nice because the weight close to your body. It’s slightly heavier than a Stag 10. The sling mount positions are too close together, I would like them further apart.

I use a single point attached to the rear hole. Works great, and doesn't get in the way.

I usually get the pendulum of pain if I do that.

LOL. I have it at the right drop so the grip falls right where my hand hangs. I found it comfortable to carry all day at CQB, I didn't bother taking it off except for scoring targets. When crouching down, I put the muzzle on my toes. It would balance well. (unloaded with chamber flag in of course)
