Yup. If you think about it is smart. 2 guns that are the same firearm why have 2 sets of parts which are very similar to begin with. If they update a part for one market offer it to both and keep production costs down.
And I much rather have the updated part any way because it must have been done for a reason and like I said I notice it shooting smother then the previous I had
From what I know my Tavor (2nd batch from Canammo in 2010) has a different trigger than the newer ones.
My trigger takes more travel before it breaks than the newer one. So I can squeeze my trigger a bit, hold it there, squeeze more to fire.
The nower one I could not squeeze without firing it, more like a regular AR.
Newer one I mean that one I fired last year at target sport center that comes with the flat top.

Except American tavor are mostly made in USA.
I believe only the barrel is from Israel for the American tavor.
All our tavors came from Israel?
Mine is different then yours the pin in my piston is vertical and the plastic a$$ end is different mine doesn't have the triangle part at the top and mine doesn't have a hole for the takedown pin its more of a slot that is open at the front.
Mine was made June 2nd 2013 so it's pretty new as far as my guns go lol

Well there it is my BCG from my new Tavor. Everything on it screams original Israel parts including the trigger group but the BCG
Any thoughts?
It will be interesting to see as more new Tavor owners and members see this thread how many others have the US BCG like you do. Just today alone I have checked 6 now, all having the regular BCG including one a friend purchased last week.
I bought an FDE model a few weeks ago and it has no sling QD-s but does have the BCG like shown above where the spring can not be removed. Just what do I have? I'll check the writing on the side and the trigger pack as well.
FWIW I'm using a few gen 3 pages and they are awesome, they drop free every time and hold the bolt open every time. They are the way to go for sure.

So do LAR mags and the newer ATRS sanctioned CAA mags, holding 10 instead of 5 makes them the way to go.
