True I see your point, my face is very close to it, not covering it. But i got annoyed on my last outing cause i received a few nice cutts on my lip and chin. I sent you a pm, good to know there is a few other leftys out there enjoying the Tavor!

Hoping I can get my hands on a lefty bolt, seems everywhere i call or email. They have them back ordered. ( I shall try Contacting North Sylva directly for a lefty bolt as suggested) for reference.1- 416-242-4867

A few cuts aint so bad! I had my chin to my lip stippled with about a 1" wide and 2" long scar comprised of semi-circular cuts from about 150 rounds in one shoot before I got my lefty bolt. Did that the day before the local fair at which I met a number of old acquaintances. Got some interesting looks like I had a new form of herpes... haha
 
Man I feel sorry for all the guys that can't locate the lefty bolt. I did it different then everyone else it seems. I had my lefty bolt sitting on my desk at home already before i even purchased a tavor. It was easy to do as well. Just went to CanadaAmmo's website and order it there. Took about two days to get it. They had a whole whack load of them to I recall at the time. Mind you though, CanadaAmmo was the sole importer and retailer back then of Tavors.

They might've had a lot when you ordered yours but those of us on the first couple orders of Tavor had to wait almost a year to get ours. IWI only produces them every once in a while and once that batch is out, the waiting game begins.
 
Just to confirm, All Tavors are rated for 5.56mm but just stamped .223 ? Just got my shiny new Tavor and was gonna go buy some ammo and wanted to be sure. I can find lots of 55 grain .223 but the heavier grain stuff I can find are 5.56mm and from what I read the Tavor rifling is better for heavier grain ammo.

Correct. Your barrel is produced along with the other versions for IDF tavors, just in different lengths and ans stamped differently

I'm asking about the new prices on the 2.5 Gen Tavors. There are a couple dealers charging old prices on Gen 2 and Gen 2.5 Tavors trying to pull a fast one on customers charging $2800+.

So everyone here was supposed know you were asking about generations and prices and vendors still selling old models when you asked a question about when North Sylva was going to sell Tavors en mass? My apologies. I will go dust off my crystal ball to help decipher your posts next time. Or next time put the correct information in your post. It makes responding to your questions easier. :)

Have to agree here. What greg asked now is light years different from earlier.
 
Everyone with a good price is, surprise surprise, out of stock. I guess buying Christmas presents to me shouldn't be my priority anyways lol. Maybe I'll build that 10/22 I was planning on as a consolation.
