Tavor FAQ (updated 08 December, 2008)

Does anyone know if the Gen 1 Tavors are any less accurate than later versions? I had heard that but have not seen anything to back it up.

I would imagine a new trigger pack would be the best mod for accuracy improvement.

There is no reason to my knowledge why this would be the case unless worksmanship was not as good on earlier units, but I highly doubt that is the case.

As for "the best mod" to aid accuracy, I would say quality optics. Then Trigger.

When you do the trigger upgrade, if you cant initially afford both the hammer pack of your choice and Geissele Lightning Bow, get the Geissele Lightning bow first as it is the cheapest, and you would only get about 40% of possible enjoyment out of a aftermarket hammer pack with a factory bow anyways IMO.

Well I was looking for a cheaper way to improve the trigger without having it too light so that sounds perfect. Thanks for the tip!

Got my Bow from Arms East as well, great place. Have both the Bow and trigger pack from Geissele and absolutely love the combo. Short travel, light pull, crisp break, great feel, and a quick crisp reset.

Crappy pic of the current configuration. Still waiting on the front sight post and curved buttpad then it'll be done for awhile.............till something else I can't live without comes out. Lol

Anybody have the herron arms 300 blackout conversion? I am looking forward to the "drop in" kit they are working on. I wanna use this rifle to go hunting someday. :)

Well, just read this whole frickin' thread - lots of great info/pointers though so it was worth the time; picked up my new Tavor a couple days back for $2500 at a local shop.
