For one it raises the optic up a bit, I find it my optic sits to low on the rail with a Burris Pepr mount. Looks kinda cool to boot!!

Is there any advantage to that short rail you put on it?

Sheds weight raises the rail to cheek weld height ratio to be identical to an AR, inturn allowing optics, most of which are designed around the AR platform to function as intended. The elcans especially seem to benefit from this. Then there is also the USA mounting system built into the rail.

Looking cool= priceless...

I think you should let me pay you DOUBLE what you paid for that front sight, and send it to me. That Specter DR has irons on top of it, and you don't even have a rear BUIS to use the front post with!!!

I put my Troy BUIS on, Now you cant be mad... lol...

If GHW would make a part that filled in the holes up front with the short rail I would be all over it. But all the make is the front sight.

I have a 3.5x35 Acog coming in the mail for my Tavor, I was planing to get a riser for it but now you made me thinking of getting this short rail instead!
I'm not sure if it would be too high for the Acog!? That Elcan looks like it sits lower then the Acog! How much higher is that rail then the original one?

The GHW rail was designed to give the same height as an AR.

ETA: And the extended keymod handgaurd, Manticore buttpad....

Manticore buttpad is on my list as well.

The fancy handguards aren't for me.
