Tavor fever

obviously you have never tried one, i have yet to see a better 1-4 optic than my Elcan, sorry but you're talking out of your rectum
I own one, and Im saving to buy another!

nice assuption there. just because someone doesnt like something must mean they never used it right?

face it, the ACOG literally does the same job for 700-800 dollars less than a Spectre.
hell even if you go with a ACOG and RMR combo it's still cheaper and lighter than the spectre.

the spectre is a waste of money at it's price point simply put.

I think the SpecterOS would be more comparable to the ACOG. and the eye relief sucks donkey balls...

I guess I will see when I get my package next week.

But I did a lot of research on the Specter and its hands down the best optic for the Tavor.

My range trip will hopefully confirm my claims...

the eye relief only really sucks on the 4x models for the ACOG's the 3.5x model is really where it's at.

and the eye relief is bad on the Spectre, like worse than my 3.5x ACOG and exactly like a 4x ACOG bad.

obviously this is less of a problem on the Tavors since your rail is pretty close and you can't adjust the length of pull.

but hey man, if you enjoy it great for you, I think they're great optics, just overpriced, too heavy and ACOG's do the exact same thing for less weight and money.

ACOGS allow you to switch between magnified and non-magnified?
no but ACOG allow you to use them in CQB by simply opening your other eye.
besides that magnified to non magnified was more of a gimmick. the reticle is only useful on 4x so you'll be on it most of the time, and the 1x optic suffers from parallax and a small red dot view box, what a great CQB optic that requires you to be in a perfect position for it to work well.
like I said, you can get the same effect with a ACOG+RMR combo for cheaper.
or you know if you wanna spend more a ACOG+H1/T1 combo.

Got my rail today, Still waiting on my Specter DR... Canada Post has it sitting idle in Richmond for the last 5 days.

Do you find those irons high enough? Perhaps my dramatic cheekbones make me simply too good looking for the Tavor, but I have a hard time getting down to the optics, even on an extended height Aimpoint mount, or the built-in folders.

I still love the poo out of my Tavor.

You need one of them Canada Ammo rails boyo. Note the height difference:

Boyo is it!?! My boots are older than you, whippersnapper!

Now that that's out of the way... :)

I can't bring myself to swap out a perfectly good rail with those nifty folding irons... Which I can almost barely use, after all.

I've got my aimpoint in the tallest mount I could lay hands on, an ADM, and it's barely high enough.

LaRue would be higher, but the delivery unicorn only comes when I have enough leprechaun coins.

Where can I find info concerning the gearhead front flip up sight pairing with the short rail?. "The IDF look" gives me a bit of a high hard one, as it were.

You can buy it directly from GHW. They only charge 8$ to ship to Canada.

For the rail you will have to get it thru Zahal
