Tavor fever

I've shot the Tav-D down south (alum. cased). Light years above the stock trigger. I'm waiting to get my hands on the Geissele so that I'll have a basis of comparison. However, I too will have a Tav-D in about the same time frame as previous guys have posted (yes, I'll eventually have both triggers).

edit: Looks like the Tav-D alum. went up in price to $340 (from $325).

Got my Package from Brownells today, BCM short grip....

AB Arms T-grip looks retarded IMHO.... The BCM is shorter and a place to index my fingers. The Magpul grip did the Job but I wanted a shorter one.

Well got my new Tavor in the mail finally, Stupid Canada Post gives me a final notice slip in the mail Friday, I was like Final ? This is my first one, turns out they had my gun all week ........................................... Put on some accessories I ordered awhile ago and now ready to try out. Strange it didn't come with a lock tho so ran out to wholesale sports to see if they had a cable lock and got one of those and then saw a pallet stacked with 1000 round boxs of federal .223 ammo :) $460 a box guess i'm gonna need to get one of those now hehehe

I remember an older post somebody was saying that the beowulf magazines don't drop free from a Tavor, Forget about dropping out freely cause when I press the magazine eject button they fire out of there ! first time I pressed the button the magazine flew out so fast I couldn't grab it lol Had to chase the stupid dog for 10 mins to get him to drop it after he grabbed it off the floor.

I picked up another case of that stuff the other day as well. Can never have too much ammo ;)

I think they were talking about the PCV mags and that when they were full they bulged out a bit which made them stick in the magwell

Well the RCMP and Media opinion differs on that point a lot of time :)
I have gen 2 press check venture magazines and they eject very well from my Tavor.

Its not oil, Some frogs lubed all over my new gun after I took it apart a few time its minty fresh now hahaha

Just got word from prophet river that they received 2 pallets of parts from the US today.

Hopefully my Tav-D is in there somewhere, They will send email out in the next 2 days....

Diligaff and Onetwentyish - did you guys get the Tav-d's yet? I'm looking at the Gieselle but would prefer to support art through Prophet River.
Oh and we will be coming out west for a course! :)

I want to try a Tav D, but my Geissele is is just to perfect, and like Arms East says, the Geissele Super Sabra is the only Tavor Trigger that is certified for duty use, not that that should matter to most if not all of us, but it does kind of speak to the quality.
