Your dead wrong. I am way faster with my T97. Mabey you don't know how to operate one properly. The French foreign legion use a bullpup as their main gun. They are Extremely proficient with it. Do you even own one ?
Oooooookay... We want to turn this into a discussion about Special Forces????
Let's set aside the Americans, and our own Canadian JTF2, and every other military that uses a M4/M16 platform as their "regular" issue weapon... Let's ONLY look at some of the militaries that use bullpup designs for their "regular" issue weapon and see what they use...
UK: Regular Army use the SA80; SAS use M4/C8
Australian Army uses Steyr AUG; SASR use M4/C8
NZ Army uses Steyr AUG; NZSAS use M4/C8
Israeli Army has mostly switched to Tavors; many of their Special Forces units STILL use M4/M16...
Oh, look at this:
French Army uses the FAMAS; but the Brigade des Forces Spéciales Terre (BFST; "Army Special Forces Brigade") uses (drumroll please).......... The M16 and M4.
We seem to like the French, so let's talk about GIGN... They don't use M4s, but they don't normally use the FAMAS either. Instead, they opt for the conventional lay out of the Sig 550 and Sig 551.
I wonder why they all do this???
OP: use your Tavor if you already have one... They're a fine gun. If you are in a position to challenge on the circuit you shoot I'm sure you'll find you end up getting an AR, just like all the former Tavor guys that shoot 3 gun and Tac Rifle out here... You'll just need to get to the range to practice. Looks like you're in Langley, so there are a ton of ranges closer than any outside space where you can shoot NR...
