Tavor in FDE (The Americans Might Win)

This can only be good for tavor owners. The more of a market the better and more accessible the aftermarket parts are. Perhaps someone might come up with an ingenious way to fix the heavy trigger? I might finally drop the ball on one of these things. Ive been lusting for a while.

I thought they came up with something a year or two back about removing one of the two trigger springs and it being a real improvement...

Depends on who you talk to. There is a reset spring you can remove that makes it lighter but more mushy from what I understand.

I've just learned to shoot with the factory trigger to be honest. It doesn't bother me any more. A few snap caps every night or two and you get a handle on it pretty quick. I'm excited to see what comes out of this new line though.

@ Samson: I'm not the copy cat! Its everyone else with a Tavor copying me! The IDF is a bunch of copy-cats too. They're just doing it because they saw my videos.

I would say IRUNGUNS will be having conversations with North Sylva over that sort of thing. Obviously, the Canadians would really only be interested in the 18.5 inch model . . .

Unless of course you bought a FDE 16.5" then had Herron Arms make you a 300blk NR barrel . . . ohhh I think I'd better sit down . . .

I want something über cool and NR in 300, this would be it!!

I would buy one of those FDE/tan ones if they were that much cheaper. I'd still keep my original though. That's not getting sold.

Dont know why these cant be bought for us canadians already in the left handed config. Dont like the idea of having to shell out more money just for that. It shouldnt have to be an option just make it come in already to go. Thats why i havent purchased one yet.

Very cool stuff!! So realistically... Would the tavor ever come in at a reduced rate? And when is this possible?? For $16-1800 I would vastly consider buying one of these great rifles.

Woo hoo, some american gun smithing ingenuity, to overcome the Tavor's flaws. I'll be getting an FDE model if the 16.5" barrel is more accurate than the Canadian NR barrel. I don't care that it's restricted. Must save my pennies again. :)

couple of random thoughts.

1. the flat dark earth looks damn ###y.

2. the price is nice but but who knows how much money will get tacked on to the bill to potentaily bring these across the border. just think of the rfb and any other keltek firearm and how much we canadians get raped on the prices here.

3. at 16.5 inches these tavors will be restricted. huge turn off for me. im not paying that much for a range gun the liberals and ndp have a hard on to seize and ban. also if a canadian non restricted varient was made, i assume the price of the tavor will only go up in price.

4. if north sylva has the only exclusive contract with IWI to carry tavor rifles and parts in canada, im guessing its in sylva's best interest to keep importing the israely version as opposed to the american version as they can probaly make more money of each unit that way.

5. it will be nice to see a american tavor hit the market. the more tavors there are the more kits, parts and items that will be manufactured for the tavor.
