I have purchased a new Tavor, flat-top railed version, from the recent CANAMMO shipment and want to know what optics people have tried and like. I have had a Tavor in the past and put a NF NXS 1-4 FCw with a Larue SPR, but was thinking about a Acog, or Trijicon TR24, with a Larue mount for the this one. I'm kink of leaning towards an Acog right now, for appearance, simplicity and quality. Primarily interested in opinions on 1-4, fixed x4, other stuff. Pics to accompany would also be great. Also any opinions on aftermarket flashiders that work well on the Tavor, other must have accessories/mods. Thanks.

Release date is set for early sept. Tests for this rail set are being done in Israeli. MSRP is what really makes this system worth waiting for.

It sure would be nice to see a picture of one of these NEA rails on an actual Tavor. I've read a few threads about it but no pics. If I was developing and building a unique firearms accessory, I'd have lots of pics. Why hold back? Give us a taste of some HD pics Charles.

I presently have a Burris AR 332 (3X) on mine, but it looks like I'm going to put a non-magnifying dot sight on the Tavor and leave the magnifying sight for one of my (more accurate) AR-15's that can better take advantage of the magnification factor. It's not that the Tavor isn't accurate (it's O.K., but not spectacular)---mine's just not as accurate as my AR's.

I too would like to see one before getting one of these rails. Installation looks pretty starightforward. Hopefully no permanent mods are needed to fit it.

While looking for AK/VZ-58 dot sights, I came across the "PK-AS" black dot/red dot sight and bought a couple (I'd like to post a pic but my neice hasn't shown me how to do that yet:)). There's a weaver mount version---when I put it on I'll hopefully post it for ya'all to check out.

I have the Rauch Tactical one on my rifle. I love the flexibility in optics I now have. Money well spent.

Here is a pic:

Shameless plug. IOR Pitbull. Amazing glass, 1/4x, 35mm tube.

Reviews in some mags suggest IOR Pitbull is solid and reliable. What's the issue(s)?

I have an ACOG TA31TRD in a LaRue mount on the Dlask rail and it's great. For proper eye relief you need to mount it over the rear BUIS but that's ok with the LaRue as you can remove the optics when necessary. The height of the ACOG on the LaRue is perfect for the NV that fits in the stock accessory mount.

Any reviews on the Mars?

Anyone have an Elcan SpecterDR 1-4x mounted? I'd love to see pics... I'm thinking that's what I may mount? I really could use someone's review of the setup.

Magazines get free scopes, they don't publish bad reviews.

IOR has been carried and dropped by numerous Canadian dealers. Issues with warranty repairs were the cause. Too many and had to send the optics to Europe. Turn around times measured in months.

That is too bad to hear. I have 2 IOR scopes, one is the 1.1-4 X 24, the other is a 10 X 42. Bought both used and they have seen rain, snow, sun and have performed flawlessly. Very high value scopes in my opinion.
