Tavor Vs ACR. Which one would you keep?

Stop being such a baby and FIGHT FOR YOUR HOBBY! I am sure getting tired of all of you folks that seem to have accepted that semi autos and handguns will be banned and give up without a fight. This generation is lazier than I thought!

If we can just band together we could accomplish great things for the firearm community.

As for the Tavor being "uncomfy", it's a matter of adaptation and training. The IDF girls don't see to have a problem with it. I tell people that I have to "hug" the Tavor in order to shoot it well. I'm now at the point where the ergos of my AR 15 feel strange .....

It literally states in the current issue of the criminal code, that Bullpups are prohibited. Guns like the T97, Tavor, f2000 etc. there only exempt from this due to their classification from the Lab. They are a loop hole. No different than the mags being used in different guns for higher capacity loop hole. And as the RCMP have been proving, loop holes can easily be closed.

Investing $2500 into something that is probably at the top of the RCMP's "list of guns to revise" seems to risky to me.

Im a young man who works hard for his money. I dont need to be gambling $2500 of it against our unpredictable RCMP.

2 things: first off, i think you are confused with the regs for bullpup stocks.
Second, c42 passed. The rcmp no longer have final say on classification as of today
 
In order for the RCMP to prohibit the Tavor or T97, new Canadian firearms laws would have to be drafted ( or an OIC used ). The RCMP specifically criticize the fact that both rifles are available to licensed Canadian firearms owners in one
of their reports released under FOI request. That report is posted on CGN somewhere, and in it the mounties pull no punches about being hell-bent on wanting those rifles ( among others like CZ / VZ 58, etc ) prohibited. So far, the
government has not drafted legislation in favor of Paulson's anti-gun cowboys. If the Liberals, or god forbid NDP take power, than that legislation won't be long in arriving. For now, enjoy your Tavors, T97s and others cool rifles.

Lets see what happens first, there are many rifles currently awaiting classification, some for 3 plus years. If C-42 does not force a time frame, the RCMP can avoid having their classification of certain firearms changed by never classifying them in the first place like they are currently doing to prohibit those firearms from entering canada.
 
The split seems to be favoured between those that attach a bipod to their rifle, and those that don't. Personally if i plan to attach a bipod to anything, it will either be bolt action or belt fed. Hence my choice, and coyotes at 300 yards are still in plenty of danger around here.

I must be excluded then because I went with ACR because of the caliber change ability for hunting, nothing to do with bipods, however the extra accuracy of the ACR is nice when you do a conversion like the 30 AR which allows you to hunt big game to at least 400yds
 
My husband and I are Enjoying the Tavor . Especially with the Timney trigger. And we will keep enjoying it !

a bullpup style stock and a bullpup are 2 different things.

The criminal code roughly stated that any weapon that had a majority of the action located behind the trigger...( had in brackets (bullpup design) ) is prohibited. BUT I checked it out 2 hours ago. it appears they redefined the whole firearms portion of the criminal code 2 weeks ago! there is no longer a reference to bullpups in the criminal code. Didnt know C42 was *fully* passed yet, guess that changes everything. I still would rather have an ACR though lol

bullpup stocks are prohibited, bullpup rifles themselves that cannot function without their stock are not.
why do we have to go through the same thing over and over, is it just CGN or is it just people in general?

I have no doubt the Tavor will be reclassified as prohibited and not restricted in the next 5 years if the NDP are able to form a majority government or a minority government with the backing of the Liberals. It is naive of anyone to think the ARC wont join it as well as the AR15 and every other black and red rifle.

Make no mistake about it. Nothing will be restricted. It will all go prohibited.

Confiscation of all the NR black rifles that go prohibited will prove to be a difficult task and where will the government get the funds for re numerating all the owners of the confiscated arms?

Whoever said anything about compensation? Ask the citizens of the UK when their government confiscated their guns how much they were paid.

Naturally they wont get them all. But that wont stop them from trying if the NDP take power.
