Tavor Vs Type-97

I went to the Calgary Shooting Centre, talked to Jeff, and asked them if they would price match other companies sales. I told them Reliable was going to be selling them for $2,300. Jeff said as long as it's published on the site and they have some in stock they would price match. So.... I walked out with a brand new Tavor for $2,300. I didn't have to fight the many people that will be trying for the Reliable sale and didn't have to pay anyone for shipping!!!

Thank you Calgary Shooting Centre!!! Big thanks to Reliable Gun Vancouver. I have purchased a lot of stuff from both these vendors and they have been fantastic to deal with every time.

I like my T97,paid $800 for it,anf fitted the FTU,NEVER had a FTF,works great,and great fun to shoot.
If a T97 is boring to shoot, then any bullpup is going to be boring to shoot.

I can only really comment on my T97. Fun to shoot, only problem I had was with a mag. As far as accuracy on the T97, I haven't been able to really test. All the rails I've mounted have come loose while firing. I will be putting the FTU on it, and when the other accessories offered by T97.ca are released ill likely do that too. I look at it this way, people spend multiple hundreds of dollars on other rifles, the T97 isn't any different. In the end it's your to do what you like with. The Tavor I handled was a beaut. I preferred the balanced feel of my T97, but they both felt good. If you can afford the Tavor, you won't go wrong with that. I will still buy a Tavor one day, but until then I'll keep firing my T97.

Tavor needs tools to dissasemble and doesnt have an on board cleaning rod and kit= crappy shtf rifle. One knock against the t97 is the lack of a heavier barrel after dumping a 30 rd mag its almost glowing

1 You only need tools to remove the barrel, pretty much like any other firearm. Standard regular disassembly including bolt and piston requires no tools and can be done in ohh about 23.78 seconds
2 It comes with a cleaning kit, a very good one actually, i use it for all my 223 rifles.
3 no 30 mags in Canada, not sure where you are doing these 30 mag drills since you cant bring a chinese firearm in the USA and you're not allowed to own firearms in China but its irrelevant and illegal.

Own a T97 with over 1000 round through it. Shot both rifles a lot. Tavor is a superior firearm. Value is subjective though ...

My 2 cents ... Tavor not worth $1600 more than the Norinco. But the T97 is not worth the $1000 price either ... should be $850 tops without any mods ...

What are you even talking about?

You're either trolling, or don't know what you're talking about.

Hahahahahahaha.... Cleaning a Tavor is the last of my worries..... Its a combat proven platform... Unlike chinese crap thats made by a 13 year old...

There is plenty of spots to store crap in the tavor.... Butt and Pistol grip are both empty....

Umm show me where the cleaning kit is stored on a tavor?

Lol. Why dose the cleaning kit need to be stored in the rifle? What's the differnce if its in your pack, or on your rifle. You goona stab somebody with your cleaning rod after you run out of ammo?

Sks is better than an AR-15 because its cleaning kit is stored in the rifle.

Sounds dumb dosent it?
