I've shot (an AR) with the 4X magnifier with an EOtech. It was outstanding!
I placed second, one point behind the leader in the LMS Abbotsford Qual.
I hadn't shot anything but under 200 rounds of center fire since I shot 20meter indoor rimfire when I was 17.
I have to attribute much of this to the Tavor's easy pointing, and accuracy.
The winner had a scope on his Tavor.
So far, I really like it. Amoeba dot and all. It would be much better with another optic though. For what it is designed for, it is quite good at it's job.
Once you get used to it's operation, it works great. I have never fired an AR, so I didn't have to unlearn anything.
It is a breeze to fully disassemble.
A bit pricey yes, but there are few other's that can hold 11 shots, are unrestricted, and black.
My Qual target:
The two grouped together in the neck would have been in the head 'kill zone', but I forgot to adjust for closer distance.

The pictured sight is the 3x. The 4x - which is a lot more expensive - looks like the bottom pic:

What distance was the target? Also, what is the diameter of the white circle around the ear?
I think it was from the 50, and 25 meter lines. as well, we ran toward the target while firing. I think the circle is about 4"
Yeah, once I get a pic rail from the Tavor that's what I'll be mounting....
I think thats what I will be mounting as well. What model of Eotech works best with the magnifier? And will the eotech and the magnifier both fit with the rail?
I agree about the optics. Only thing holding me back is the optics and rail issues. I hope it is solved before the right to purchase a fine sporting firearm is taken away from me by narrow minded, ignorant people with zero intellectual free thought which lack the most inaptly named yet most important factor "common sense" it sure is not common !
I try to put the 3x magnifier copy on my Tavor.( base only a magnifier .not issus zero.But the dot going bigger)
you just need the other mini rise on the back .then same lever with Eotech.
i used cheapAMMO like UMC 55G. and win white box. on 100m
i got 5 shot .1.89" best group.that it.
But the copy make the dot bigger. i don't like it.
So .i going to order one real 4 x magnifier to try.

I believe Eotech has a 1 MOA dot. If you use a 4x magnifier, the 1 MOA dot will become 4 MOA dot, wouldn't it?
I believe that as long as the magnifier is between the red dot and your eye, the dot will become magnified, regardless of whether it's a genuine or clone magnifier. The setup is still preferable to the original Mepro sight since the magnified EoTech is still smaller than the 6 MOA Mepro (which is still unmagnified)
