Tavors for $1800

CTAR has 15" barrel
and US made TAVOR has 16.5" barrel..not 16"

I live in Vancouver I shoot my non restricted outside a range?
Plus you can't shoot on a farm anyways:dancingbanana:

CTAR have a 15 inch barrel from Israel, VS SAR from US have a 16.5 inch and 18. our Tavor is a VERY special one 98% **(edit) IDF ORIGINAL VERSION.

Whooo Special!

Maybe because it's $900 cheaper?

Restricted/Non-restricted doesn't matter if you only shoot at a range anyway.

Give your head a shake if you think that's the only reason why people want non restricted over restricted. The #### do you think we all fought so hard to get rid of the long gun registry?

us tavor does have iron sights. go look at the link that was just posted to the SAR being sold in canada

unless you mean the built in irons sights AND the sights on the rail, i think it only has the built in sights.

Yes I'm talking about the sight mounted on the rails. Not the one build into the rail.

As far as I know, all Tavor barrels are made in Israel, including the IWI US SAR ones. If we want cheaper Tavors, all we need to do is to get the US SAR-21 approved by the RCMP (I believe it has different trigger pack than Israeli Tavors), and then get IWI US to import 18.7 Canadian Tavor barrels from Israel along with their regular shipments and install them on the SAR rifle. Boom, we get US-priced Tavors at around/sub $2000. That is huge (that's almost $1k of savings)! More savings = more ammo, better optics and other goodies. Also, this would be great if IWI wants to get more market share in the AR-15 saturated market.

Now, if we all go on the IWI US website and send them an email about this, then perhaps they would consider it after they get enough messages. OR if a big Canadian importer could call and ask IWI US to do this that would probably be easier.

easiest thing to do is have a us to canada importer place a order with IWI USA for a run of 18.5" canadian barrels, after RCMP approves them as non restricted.
hell ide pay pre order once they are approved as non r...also, im in no rush.

I can stand corrected but last I heard the SAR is awaiting FRT. That may put a little delay on any import until it's issued ;).

Correct the SAR is not approved for sale in Canada at this time. We have an application for an FRT number currently being reviewed by the RCMP lab.

Shot Show 2014 will be in Jan I believe. If anything, there might be a new model of the SAR-21/TAR-21. Perhaps, one with a mag release button near fire controls like the X95. One could hope.
