I think that it would depend in if you are a handloader or not. I have never owned one, the reason is that I do handload. About 20 years ago, my dad, and step mother got heavily into the TCR 83 setup, with multiple barrels ranging from 223rem, 243win, 270win 30-06, 7mm rem mag, plus others. The only cartridges that they could get more than a few shots out of the brass where the 223. By their very design, when they are subjected to high pressure, the action stretches slightly to accommodate, and because of the hinge, the case head stretches unevenly. There is no way around this. A fellow in town has one of those NEF handi rifles in 30-06 that balks with standard pressures, and apparently he has actually had it come off of the face (open due to pressure). When you see an English double rifle, they are almost always made in low pressure cartridges due to this. The design works well with low pressure cartridges, but I would suspect that TC has not found a way around the limitations of this action type.
