Rather than your liberal solution of limiting what I can and can't do, based on your preference. How about the following: Don't like them, don't participate. Don't try to tell me how and when to spend my money. Pre-orders help a lot of retailers offload the overhead and gauge interest on products without having to float all the risk. There is value in this, just do not delude yourself into thinking its not gambling. As far as the odds on here, I've been pretty god damn fortunate to get in on some excellent pre-orders, without being burned yet.

Not only that, but if you go back through all of the Team Canada hat threads you'll see posts where people are wanting pre orders so they don't miss out again.

It's hard to make everyone happy but we do try. :d

Haters gonna hate... will be flipping you guys an email to change my one tan hat to black for this order and then will wait for the Tan ones :) June isn't too far away at this point.
 
Jesus everyone, I don't hate OST by any stretch of the imagination -- I've been a customer before and I will be one again, including a tan hat when they come in.

I've just seen so many pre-orders go tits up on CGN that it becomes frustrating. I love OST any my apologies for the apparent criticism of this fine company.

For those of us with pre-order of both colours, I have a question:

If we pick option #2 (to have the black hats ship out now and wait for the tan B/O to ship later in June),
will we be charged another shipping amount @ that time?

I think I know the likely answer, yet many companies like Brownells, hell even Chapters, will mutli-charge the freight
if you choose to get the in-stock item(s) right away, and have the B/Os trickle out as stock arrives.
 
What is your order number or email? We have probably seen it but did not reply as we figured people would rather have my typing shipping info and get their hats. I will double check.

Shipping goes out at 2pm.

You guys are asking for mistakes to happen doing this over an internet forum.

Phone them, or at least e-mail them with the order number in the subject line.

Just in time, Canada Post walked in.

Shipping is done for the day but anyone who hasn't contacted us let us know. We can get it out the door tomorrow.

Question - are we going to be paying again for shipping on the tan hats?

Should we expect a return email? Emailed that I am good to wait till June for both hats I ordered but didn't hear anything back.

Give me an order number and I will let you know. It should be fine, we just needed to know when dividing up all the order piles.
