Team Hoser 2-Gun Match

so what class will a M1 Carbine put you in

Pistol Cal. Carbine Div., but at this time there is no "official" PCC div.

Rifle rules state .223/5.56 or larger.. Yes, an M1 is .30cal, but... I wouldn't consider it a LARGER cal.

Mil surplus M1 ammo is what.. 110gr bullet at 1900fps...?

That's only a PF of 209

From the div. rules re. the .30cal divisions...

6.4 Tactical 30 Optics division

Rifle: Minimum Caliber is .30”. Minimum power factor (bullet weight x velocity/1000) is 320. Pistol caliber rifles/carbines although technically >.30cal are not meant for this division. Not more than one (1) electronic or optical sight is permitted. A supplemental magnifier may be used with the permitted optical sight provided the magnifier does not contain an aiming reticle and cannot be used as an aiming device by itself and remains mounted in the same location on the rifle for the duration of the event. A participant may use the magnifier in either the magnified or unmagnified mode without restriction.

Supporting devices (bipods, etc.) are prohibited.

Well I did terrible but had an absolute blast !
Rifle malfunctions all day and short on rounds.

But it was great fun. Very well organized and well thought event. Hats off to all those involved!

I saw the results from the Colby match, I guess you didn't get my EMT?:D
Only way to go is up!!!;)

That said...

As far as matches go... An SKS or VZ whatever puts you in what we call the Tac-30 div.
You're not competing against the AR's....
If you're stuck with a fixed mag on your SKS, well.... get practicing your reloads... There's no reason a guy with stripper clips can't reload as fast or dare I say faster than a guy inserting/seating his VZ mag.

In the end it really shouldn't matter much what platform you're using... As long as you know it inside out and backwards.
Thanks for that. I enjoyed shooting the VZ58. No, there were no malfunctions besides operator issues. This was my first 2 Gun and I came in first! Too bad there were only 3 of us. LOL
Well I now know what areas to work on (All of them) and am looking forward to the next match.

Thanks Guys
