Team Hoser January match

If a round count has been issued, I missed it and can't find one. Could anyone who knows post one please, and thank you.

Your individual round count/ammo expenditure may vary depending upon how many caps you decide to bust.
A shooter who doesn't take any extra shots could manage with fifty rounds.... Others may need two or three hundred.

For a four stage indoor handgun match I'd bring one hundred rounds.

Your targets require 27 hits to neutralize...

I think this fella'd beg to differ ;)

I went with 26 rounders because I'll almost exclusively shoot IPSC with mine, which is limited to 30rds anyway so I took a pass on a drum. The extra weight isn't worth the extra 6 rds (I know how to count, but typically 26 rounders are loaded to 24).

You guys want me to bring any extra patches or targets?
I'm thinking "quintuple taps" will be the name of the game for tomorrow, with the odd "octo-tap" thrown in for good measure.
May even sweep the leg.

Don't use up all your good MagFlips tonight, save some for tomorrow.
(poor dog)

I'm still recovering from the flu and feeling pretty lethargic.
Been practising my tactical blindfire while lying on my couch. I may have enough energy for one good stage tomorrow, but then its all blindfire and leg sweeps.

I've grown fond of the blindfire.
so much laziness and awesomeness in one package.
Very effective in a dynamic environment and offers value added force multipliers typically found in much more complex tactics.
Game changer.

If I've only learned one thing in listening to the pros, especially the Canadian ones with the fancy mags, its all about efficiency.
Why run around, needlessly burning calories, when you can just lay down and sweep a leg at a comfortable pace.
No risk of over exertion, no risk of depleting one's fat stores which are critical in our harsh northern climate, and still effective at neutralizing targets....dynamically!

Today was an epiphany for me.
Happy to share the knowledge.

Well, I sure am looking forward to tomorrow....quite giddy in fact (not sure if this is due to the Whiskey, or the sweet taste of lead that I keep licking off my fingers from re-charging the ten 50 round drum mags).

Either way....looking forward to Mag flipping, and sweeping the legs of the targets tomorrow! (I am going to leave the more advanced stuff to the professionals) and hope I can put forth a solid showing with my limited skills!
