Team Savage -- Darrell Buell (YouTube)

I've shot beside Darrel and Stan for the last few years at the BC tac match. Great guys.

I don't think they would be saying they're stock if they are not. It would be too easy to disprove I'm guessing. I have a Model 12 LPV and even though I'm not done with the load development (no bedding job either) I've had 3 rounds into one elongated hole at 100 yards.

BINGO....as I have stated before, Savage is going to give these guys the best of the best that they have. They are representing the company after all.

They would not win though if they weren't talented shooters to boot.

I think Frontier (a board sponsor in P.A.) has a couple of the 10FP carbines with the accustock. That might turn out to be an interesting rifle. If you're close to P.A. you could check out my Model 12 LPV.

See that guy twirling/gauging those barrels?

That is what it is all about - choose the best production barrel. I bet they have more then 10 to choose from:D

Then put it onto any of those target actions and have at it.

The ingredients between a custom full meal deal rig and the Savage target rifle are there. The big unknown when you buy a Savage rifle is how good that barrel is.

But there is an easy solution to that problem.

I wonder if those guys have bedded their actions into those stocks? Likely they have as I have yet to meet a factory stock that didn't have overly generous inletting.... accustock included.

The members of team Savage are also some of the best 308 shooters in the world.

That kind of helps too...
