Someone is going under on this deal!!!! What a joke, really come on a bolt acton AK selling for 1K is someone smoking crack?
Canadians are fickle and this thing and whole idea of a product line is as good as dead.
EPIC FAIL!!!!!!!
Good news is 10rd VZ/CZ mags woot woot!!!!
I suppose it would function much like this then...
FWIW, urban tact found out it was a BA the same time as us. he's in the same sinking ship.
We only pay $200-ish for SKS because they are surplus production, and not new production. A new production SKS would be in the $600-ish (or more).$400 for a BA AK look-alike seems a bit steep to me. I figured that it would be priced in the SKS range.
AFAIU the K31 action, the bolt is a rotating bolt (versus the tilted bolt of an SKS), the straight pull is only achieved with a cam.I don't know that we can assume it will shoot as accurately as say a modern commercial bolt action. Just because you manually cycle it does not mean that the bolt lock up is as tight and consistent as a turn bolt.
Some lesbian ends up being married to men... weird isn't it ? Not for much more reason than "love". And yes, ###uality is much more of a grey area than "straight" or "homo"...This is like finding out a hot chic is ### after you sit through a crappy movie with her...

Well, Canadian gun owner are getting used to wait...this bolt action rifle is just the start of a few years worth of waiting, in my opinion.
Canadian Gun Buyers = fickle as all get out
I could see myself having a great time with this rifle using a bipod and a left side charging handle.
I get that people like to shoot fast, but I don't think there's anything wrong with shooting accurately either.
Really I'm still in the "wait and see" territory.

Oh, I get that. I wasn't talking about what it would cost to make. I was talking about what it would be worth to consumers. If you want to lay down $400 or more for a rifle that is outclassed by a simple $175 - 200 SKS, go ahead. I think if they want to sell in any sort of volume, they will need to price accordingly, especially if the reaction here is any indication. If indeed there is a follow up line of semi autos in the works, they'll make enormous profits on those, but these rifles will be a very small niche if not priced to sell.
A semi would be cool, but within the law.. Its not going to happen. Your logic would make the vz58/858 also not worth it to consumers because it doesn't outclass the SKS very much yet costs 3 times as much. Sure its a bit lighter and strips down easier but functionally it really does the same thing.
