Oh sweet another straight pull it will go next to the ross and steyr m95 and swiss K31!!!! When can I get one? Who is selling it marstars? If its a bolt action how many rounds will it hold?
 
I'll still buy one, and considering the amount of people canceling their orders, I might even get one from first shipment :)
 
There are a lot of places where this rifle would sell like hotcakes, Australia and the UK to name two. Anywhere that has banned semi-autos will jump on an AK(ish) rifle that they're allowed to own. Where semis are still OK for civvy ownership, it won't sell.
 
If there is indeed a semi auto version of this coming down the pipe, and if it is able to usher in an era of proprietary regular capacity magazines, then this could turn out to be a huge winner. If this project proceeds no further than this bolt action, then I don't see it doing very well.
 
Maybe there's a knockout cover in the front of the receiver and a "cleaning rod" that's threaded the same as the little hole in the bolt carrier? - or maybe some folks around here will die of old age waiting for the semi auto version. Like I said, in places without semis, these really are golden, in places with semis, they just aren't. Did anyone see the video from the UK of the AR that locks on each shot, until you release a round and the bolt using what should be the selector. Some places are so damned uncivilized that stuff like this flies - but remember, if we aren't carefull, we'll need these illegitimate solutions as well.

Watch youtube videos on the Swiss 1889 bolt action rifle. It will give you a rough idea of what the guts look like on this guy. Striker fired, rotating bolt. on the Schmidt Ruben 1889, the cocking handle runs to the right of the bolt, almost external. My guess is that on the CSR, they have "hidden" those components underneath the bolt where you would normally find the hammer assembly.

We'll have to wait and see one torn down but if all these parts are new manufactured parts.. even if they are stamped, the machinery still had to be built and isn't cheap.

My guess is that what they mean is that the bolt carrier (minus a functioning gas piston) is analogous to the operating rod on a Schmidt-Rubin action in that it incorporates a charging handle and a camming surface to rotate the bolt.

Personally, I'm not too excited unless the magazines are the actual purpose for its existence, like the LAR-15 pistol mags.

And therein lies the master plan. Sooner or later, the LPC is going to take the Hill...and, when they do, they'll do away with s/a firearms, from the 10/22 right on up.

TW will be very well positioned when that occurs.
