Teaser Snapshot of the CSR Interarms Sporting rifle

I will admit, if they make it NR and sell the 5.45x39 version, I will buy it as my new gopher gun.

Dlask built a functioning pump-action AR-15 in hopes of getting it classified as non-restricted. The RCMP deemed it a variant and restricted it. Good bye customer interest.

Even if Trigger Wholesale can convince the RCMP that this abortion is kosher, I don't see them setting any sales figures on fire at $1000. Price them under $400 and they might find a market, but Vz-58/CZ-858 fans have nothing to fear.

The more I think about this rifle, the more I want to check it out, it's an odd ball.
I'm not dismissing it yet, I'll check it out once UT brings it in and I'll go from there, they're local so it's not a big deal to drive down to check it out. I'm hoping the product line they're talking about has a semi-auto to offer.
The gas tube is a mystery to me...hmm

It seems like it could be a neat rifle (depending on price and mags). It did throw me off when I heard it was a BA when I was expecting a semi but it still could be very cool.

me too...I've been trying to find exploded plans of the BA saiga ak47 they have in the UK, but couldn't...I'm very intrigued.

To certain individuals such as yourself and myself (obviously others as well), we kind of want to see how this goes. Its such an oddball, that we just can't write it off just yet. Someone will have to take the plunge to offer us a range report

I like how the bolt action version can have a short barrel and still be NR. It will make for a nice wall hanger when it is not in use. Looking forward to the semi version.

One thing to note, all the "it'll never get approved" crowd like ztunelover and all those other self proclaimed prophets became awefully quiet :D

Pffft!! A real "Wolverine" would use a Valmet! ;)

I do like this fact about it. I liked my 7615p for this as well, it would be pretty cool to see some ever shorter barreled version in the future. I'm still disappointed that it's a straight pull, but if they do release the 5.45 like they said, I'd probably still be interested as an interesting varmint plinker type gun. I'm also thinking as a lefty I could probably rack the bolt fairly quickly lol. Still interested in seeing an actual price though.

Yes, good call

And lol, yes!!

I cant wait for the 5.45 versuons

I wouldn't hold my breath if the only rifle on the market chambered for the 5.45 is this CSR, or whatever they call it. Getting surplus ammo approved for import by NRCAN is a major pain in the rear and can be prohibitively expensive. With limited demand, convincing an importer to jump through the necessary hoops is going to be a very tough sell.

I guess you didn't see this :)
