Does anybody in Canada stock Tech TS 200 peep sights for an SKS?
The only way I can shoot with open sights is with a rear peep sight and a tru-glo type front sight, and given the SKS is reputedly best under 100 yards, this could be a viable option

yes-it specified ''canadian orders''so I filled in all the information ,mailing address, postal code, payment method etc.
I presume if they CAN'T send it-they will notify me

well, they did-''we are not currently shipping our product outside the United States-and your money has been refunded''

I was looking at that this morning, I guess I don't have to bother trying. I would really like to get a TS200. When I changed my front post to a Williams Firesight, I lost all windage adjustment and wanted to gain that back with one of these.

if its not a legal issue,I'll see if they will ship it to a US address and then I'll pick it up next trip south....hard to believe that Homeland Security would be concerned over a mechanical peep sight being used for terrorism against the US

That or we all should go to the site site and buy one (like 100 of us) so that they get the point that its worth shipping here lol

It could be legal issues, some companies say they will not ship anything that can be ''attached to a gun''but anything to do with ''Homeland Security'' doesn't HAVE to make sense

This is what I know, I has asked one of the members on here to find out about getting these and reselling. And he was told that they (Tech-Sights, LLC) have no permit from The U.S. State Department to send "gun optics" to Canada. So I guess that explains it in a nutshell why they won't sell them to us .. :p

is it illegal for a US resident to simply mail one up here?[I have US relatives]I find this frustrating, and this sort of thing makes honest people think up creative solutions

mail still has to go through customs from what I understand. Whether or not they let it through, I couldn't tell you.

I just got another e-mail from them-they said they decided not to ship rifle sights out of the US because its a ''gray area''.I wish IO could talk to someone at Customs and get a definitive answer-this isn't a scope or an electronic device-just a simple mechanical rifle sight

Thank you for the interest in Tech-SIGHTS. We have decided that will not ship outside the US. Gun sights seems to be a rather gray area and we feel that it would be in our best interest not to sell outside the US at this time.

yep

I just finished registering my SKS-and after finishing, asked the firearms officer if I could legally bring this peep sight across the border, and after I described it as a simple mechanical peep sight ,he said he saw no problem-it was not on the list of prohibited or restricted items
