I checked to see if this has been asked before and apologize if it has been covered. I recently installed a new Receiver Mount scope to my Chinese SKS that replaces the original receiver Cover,I had to do a certain amount of filing in order to fit it to the Rifle which from what I have read is normal....however when I first installed it I could not open the Bolt and I had to file more off to fit properly and to be able to open and close the Bolt easily and now it seems to fit nice and tight....Should I still have it checked over by a Gun Smith to make sure all is good before going to the Range?
Thanks

and then realized I should have filed the front ends of the Cover which i did.....it seems to fit good and tight but I am a little worried that where I filed inside the hole that the take down pin goes through I may have done harm.
