Tell Me SOMEONE Else Saw This??

I have to ask timothy, and enquiring minds want to know. What exactly do gun dealers in Georgia have to do with the registry up here? The registry you are so obviously fond of. Well let me tell you. Nothing, nada, zip.

As so many people on this board have tried to illustrate to you, the registry is absolutely useless. All it is is a database of who has what and where it is or where it is suppose to be. Period. It has done nothing since its inception to stop the violent crime seen in the major cities of this country.

I can't believe that someone on this board with so many liebral views has been around this long. As a die hard conservative, I can't abide liebrals, the CBC and their blatant leftist views, the CFC for what amounts to invasion of my privacy, the liebrals again for slowly eroding the rights and liberties of the people, the nanny state mentality of eastern libs and US bashers.

Let me ask you this. Do you want your name and address and what you own in a database that can be so easily hacked? And it has been done. I sure as hell don't. And as soon as the conservatives get a majority the registry will be gone. And I could give a rat's ass if the ####in liberals all have hissy fits. The can cry all the way back to rocks they crawled out from under.

Also, the comparison to a seagull, just rude. I'm not offended at all, just saddened by your lack of tact, seriously, like what do you get out of saying that to me?

Rude? How self righteous of you....you stated your opinion and openly dismiss or won't even acknowledge other people's opinions on your position. You ask for facts and not 'opinions' in rebuttals to your position but you don't offer any facts other than the points brought up on Firestar. I'm sorry I offended you but if the shoe fits................

p.s. anyone who believes it's not Canada's position to demand anything of the U.S. government should hear it directly from the Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearm's mouth, he does say on the Fifth Estate our government should indeed demand it from the U.S. government, it is Canadian lives and law after all.

Plus, it's the Blue Steel Highway, it has a name! It's incredibly infamous, and everyone is O.K. with this?

Who's border is it that these guns are crossing into? Therefore who's ####ing problem is it......

Good question, ask the person who originally asked if I like the gun registry in this thread. All I did was say yes, I do like the registry.

No, I'm fine with opinons if they are presented that way. I offer many facts, please read my posts and ask me about them. Also, self righteous? Not at all, you made a rude comment at my expense, I called you out on it. I don't acknowledge some posts because they're rude. You will notice I am very careful to respond specifically to the ones that are articulated well and without malice.

Alas, haven't you ever been told not to say sorry when you're not? You apologize and follow it with if the shoe fits, no my fellow poster, I'm afraid that is not the case, all I'm doing is posting on a forum in a friendly way, not offending anyone at all and you come along and compare me to a seagull. Have I shown you any disrespect? Not at all. So, please do me a favour and show me some respect when you address me.

Who's border is it that these guns are crossing into? Therefore who's f**king problem is it......
a**hole

I wasn't going to answer you but in the nature of keeping myself consistent and making sure my position is clear: The Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms office condones a method in which Canada would officially demand the U.S. to get their proverbial "Act" together in regards to the Blue Steel Highway.

Big whoop. Doesn't mean ####. US law has as much bearing in Canada as Canadian law has there. It's our border, it's our problem.
You have been downgraded from ####### to moron......

I don't mind my information being on a databse, I however haven't had bad experiences with the government and feel confident that they are constantly looking out for what is best for Canada's people. I also feel the government would be liable if it indeed was hacked, regardless of whether my things were stolen or not however, past behaviour of our government leads me to believe that they would side step it. This is why I have insurance.

Also, I support the gun registry and hope that some form of it stays in place if the conservatives win a majority federal government. I want gun control in this country, I don't want money wasted but it's an important issue to me (gun control).

So then you would call reform to Canadian border policy? Although it took many posts, it wasn't that difficult to extract a true opinon on the matter from you.

By the way I feel border reform is a great way to get the ball rolling on this issue, Hitzy. I'm glad you had something constructive to add.

Now THAT is an interesting point, I don't believe in vigilante justice at all but what an incredible difference to Georgia except... when you compare ogranized and gang related crime. Also, the social dynamics of Vermont to Georgia are incredibly different, did you know that Vermont has the 2nd highest proportion of caucasian residents then any other state? Vermont also is economically different, vastly therefore making me wonder if the gun related violence has nothing to do with firearm sales practice.

Tim, there is a difference between vigilante justice and being able to defend your home and property. No one in Vermont or Alaska is allowed to hunt down lawbreakers and shoot them. But if they are assaulted, they are allowed to defend themselves. Both states have no carry permit legislation, you just do it if you want to. Both states also have the lowest violent crime rate in the country. On the other hand, lets look at england. They banned handguns, and in a short period of crime violent crime went through the roof (and australia is following the same pattern) both up well over 1000% (seriously, check it out) and still climbing. Also, more crimes are commited with firearms then ever before.

As for 20 or so manufacturing concerns making most of the weapons that turn up illeagal, well, only 5 make all of the vehicles used in drunk driving, drug smuggling and hit and runs.......

well, they've lost mine, twice....wonder were it went:(. As for hanging liability on them....let me know how that works out...the case will still be in court when we're dead...

Registry hacked

Timothy's guns get stolen

Timothy gets charged with unsafe storage

Timothy could go to jail

End of Timothy's so called passion for guns because he can't get anymore.

:p:p:p
