I have 2 , love them . my only gripe was i had to adjust the front sights , they were not zeroed from the factory like a CZ858 is.
You got me there ! ☺ My Type 81 mags won't lock in on my Ak's...but it looks like it could work with minor grinding .
My AK mags dont fit in my type 81 (could work with moderate work it appears)-- but i loathe fooling around with mags and potential feed problems.
I just wish there were straight interchangeable

I find it extremely uncomfortable to shoot due to the shape of the fixed stock.
Cons
-5 Round Limit (Given a choice on the 30 magazine on that pinned to 5 or a 5 round magazine i'd prefer a 5 round mag, still looks cool though)
-The machining on some parts are very rough, I almost want to take a file to it
-Sights
Pros
-Will take about anything in ammo/aftermarket stuff mods(with little tweaking)
-Can take lots of abuse
-Looks like an AK-47

1. The Mags are limited to 5 rounds
2. It's a semi auto and not full auto
3. The grenade launcher was not included
Other then that it's an amazing addition to my 7.62 collection!

That is a problem my other guns feel too though
I guess that would be my 4th complaint lol

zero complaints about mine. 100% worth the 1k pricetag.
The vast majority of SKS owners who try to make their SKS look more tactical/AKish end up spending 1k (or more) for the rifle+mods, and none of them ever look anywhere near as good as a stock Type81.

I had a folder and traded it for a fixed. Did the folding stock inserts that were supposed to match the blond wood ever make it to market?
TI was supplying them free to folder owners, all you had to do was request a set. Rec'd mine awhile back, but "reorganized" my man cave and damned if I can find them now *sigh*. Colour match still wasn't exact IMO, but a lot closer than the sets that origionally came with the rifle.

Why is colour match important??? I’m just curious.
