My Take: the reasons why Chinese firearms have a bad rap with North American consumers is understandable and makes perfect sense when you consider Chinese guns have no consumers apart from antiquated military contracts.
The consumer is the highest form of quality control when it come to fit, finish and ergernomics. China and the militaries they build for have virtually zeroe civillian ownership and virtually no shooting sports. There is a reason why CZ guns have such high fit, finish and ergernomics: the Czech population love their guns. The Swiss and Americans love their guns and this is reflected in how they are built. In China people have no acccess to Norinco guns. In China the gun is a means to an end.
Norinco firearms are built for military contracts where function and making money is king.
Norinco/polytechnic functions, there are no consumers to demand anything more then that. A couple containers shipments to Canada a year does not count.
Norinco firearms are highly sought after among the American Ak community and the red rifle community in Canada. We get this, we know this, it’s what we love about these guns and it’s why we like them.
Chinese guns are not junk and with no Chinese civillian ownership or shooting sports they will always be just like they are.
My two cents worth.
