I bought this Belgian underlever of unknown origin. It's built on the Le Fauchaux pattern. The barrels are damascus in 16 gauge, chambered for 2 1/2", 780 mm in length (30 3/4"), w/matte rib and inlaid with what appears to be brass, at the breech. The Price of Wales gripped stock has a cheek pad, is hand checkered, and is terminated by a steel buttplate. The locks are back-action sidelocks engraved with dog game scenes. The round action receiver is actually a double-underlever - the first lever opens the break action, the second releases the forend.
You'll note that there is no forend wood. The underlever system looks much like a forend, but it's situated far too close to be used as the forward hand position.
Alas, I won't be shooting this one.

The barrels are pitted and the action is off face. I couldn't resist it just the same.
