Just got a Remington rolling block 12ga. It has an odd hammer safety to prevent accidental cocking and has Husqvarna marked on the barrel which is half round and half octagon. The action probably dates to the 1860's or 70's.

Might be a bit of a pain to load for as it has 2.5 inch chambers as near as I can tell so I'm looking for some brass shotgun shells.

My oddest shotgun? That would be the bolt action 12g shotgun with a 3 round mag, made by MasterCraft/Canadian Tire (Stamped right on the barrel.. kinda funny). The stock needs work, but it still fires true. I saw it at a gun show in Belleville last year and had to buy it, it reminded me so much of the same style shotgun that my grandfather had and first had me fire.

2 and a half inch cartridges available over here for the older English guns which had shorter chambers!

I bought this Belgian underlever of unknown origin. It's built on the Le Fauchaux pattern. The barrels are damascus in 16 gauge, chambered for 2 1/2", 780 mm in length (30 3/4"), w/matte rib and inlaid with what appears to be brass, at the breech. The Price of Wales gripped stock has a cheek pad, is hand checkered, and is terminated by a steel buttplate. The locks are back-action sidelocks engraved with dog game scenes. The round action receiver is actually a double-underlever - the first lever opens the break action, the second releases the forend.

You'll note that there is no forend wood. The underlever system looks much like a forend, but it's situated far too close to be used as the forward hand position.

Alas, I won't be shooting this one.:( The barrels are pitted and the action is off face. I couldn't resist it just the same.

I have a 12 gauge side by side Armas Ego and I have been having a really hard time finding any information on it. Can any of you guys help me out?

got rid of all my low end guns. Had a Savage 24c 22/20 ga. that could qualify as an odd shotgun I suppose. Shotgun shot nowhere near the rifle barrel though.

long recoil

Remington 11, not the Sportsman, with the 5 rnd mag tube (and wooden reducer). Choked mod on a 26" bbl. Fires everything I put in it. Dated to 1929. Looks like cast iron and carries almost as well !
