congradulations great gun,there were two of them the same day on ee,i was asking wife permission to buy but first one went at a heart beat,then yours came up and gone by the the time i saw it.beautiful rifle by the way, a av came up right after in a delux but i really also want the safarie,have a great time in africa,had the chance a few years back but wifey stopped that also,now i just buy them and get shipped to the store so she doesnt see them.

That's funny, I thought of this ad when I read the first post.
Gorgeous, functional rifle.
Well gentlemen, not only is she drop dead gorgeous, she is amazing on the bags as well. Shot a 4 shot sub 3/4" group today with 270 A-frames at 2790 fps and all from a 22.3" bbl. Mounted a 1.5-6 Leupold on her and went out and drove tacks!! I too was having a much better day, but that group is one of my better groups with a 6X scope and these old, tired eyes. I couldn't be more pleased, I think I'll work on a 300 gn load but I will always have the 270 A-frames to fall back on. Will post some pics in a bit.
Didn't get up on the 21st to the range, been under the weather for a couple weeks, still not 100% but dragged my a$$ up there anyway and was truly rewarded for it !

that rifle is speshtacular Doug, now try not to try and push those .270's to 3000fps. That's magnaporting not Homer's speed holes

I know what you must feel like. I too after 12 years of searching have finally found a magazine for my rasheed rifle! Bought it at an auction only cost me $500.00, OK OK it came with a rifle too. Took both of them out and my original works fine, the one from auction slamfires like crazy. Lots of cosmo in it will have to give a good cleaning.
Now the piggybank has to grow and I will look into getting a hakim

I'm not much of a fishing enthusiast, but I've got that hill to the North on my mind. I want to climb above the tree line and see if I can see sheep or a grizzly. That should be a heart attack for us flat landers. Ted says he's away that week, but will be around for a visit when we get back to town.
Mike, looking for sheep and grizzly is a whole lot easier and time effective from an airplane 
.........you need to check your map, there is no mountain north of Moraine, the valley runs pretty much N-S but there is sheep on the ridges both east and west of Moraine, I know that for a fact.

While the level of craftsman ship is apparent, I just can't get too hot over the rifle. I can't see why they used such a plain jane blank when they knew they were going to put so much effort and skill into a rifle. I know a very straight grained blank creates a stronger stock, especially in the wrist area, but I reserve my drool for the beautiful walnut. Nice rifle Doug.

Yup, you're right of coarse. When I was looking across to it from Kelly's, it felt north, but the lake does run N-S. I'm not embarrassed getting turned around off my home turf. By the way nice shootin! Looks like you've found the load, nice tight velocity spread too.

Also note the AIV came in a one crossbolt model initially then when they started to employ the Tikka Trigger they took out more wood for fitting and threw in an extra crossbolt. The question is did they do that Tikka Trigger to reduce costs or is the Tikka trigger better. Would be an interesting set of replies to hear if someone has both. Looking for a hood for the front sight myself for the AIV if anyone has any suggestions.
