Thank You Canadian Tire!!!

Wonderful you ripped someone off and come to tell the world. Next there will be the overpriced items on EE you will be complaining about some one ripping you off. If you are inclined to operate business like that, get your gun for a price you know was wrong and tell no one. My 2 cents.

A little over-dramatic and leading to conclusions here... guy got a great price on a firearm, by mistake - now he is a criminal in your eyes f:P:

You would have purchased it too, if that was what you went in there for.

Not anyone for sure. Let's say that if you know that the price can't be correct and while having such knowledge, you still proceed with the purchase just to brag about it moment later on public forum you are not making the best choice. Well...it's your choice though. Note taken for any, prospective buyers on EE.
I sure wouldn't do that, so please don't put me in the same category with the people like that.
Yes, it's rip off. At least in my opinion.
Morals are something you don't discuss daily.
You just know what's right and what's wrong when nobody is watching.

And nice and honest guys get ####ed over...

:agree: There are many people who jump all over others, yet would do the same.

Anyone would done the same, how is it ripping someone off? NOT HIS FAULT that he got the better deal for their error. HELL I would do the same.

Will I go well sorry your Rugers are underprice then other stores, could you please raise the price to be fair? Your SKS are 50$ less then anyother retailer. PFFFF NO...

Ya the last time I had to go to the store for a crank seal it took three trips to still not get it right for a $12 seal, "THEN" they wanted to give me in store credit, WTF, I would have bought the lot if there was more, AND I would have gloated all over the net about it.

that makes sense, Not!. Moral high horse. A few people are chanting yay he stuck it to the man. El34 is pointing out that it is not a faceless corporation (the man) that got stuck. Its a person. I know this true. In fact some owner/operators are even fellow gun nuts.

Not a legal issue but definitely a moral one.Glad I don't live there cause the prices just went up. I guest honesty is still not the best policy and taking advantage of people should be cheered on. *face plam slap* as i yell out oh dear. Dare I even breathe the word integrity.

You have a computer on your horse? Wow! Don't drop it from up there.

I called DOT and MVI inspector, on one of their experienced techs that nearly killed me when he did routine maintenance ( alignment ) for new tires and failed to tighten key suspension parts after making adjustments. The customer service said he wouldnt do that. But caught their bluff to save his ass, because how did he miss this and that on a inspection. So if he failed to notice sooo much stuff how can you say he doesn't. Anything I can do to put it back to CT I will.

If you would like to know more about the CT return policy and how it is being adopted at a national level by everyone and why. I could PM you. But ill give you a little hint. It is because of people who take advantage and abuse returns.

By the way I have never had a return issue with CT.

Unless it was Canadian Tires Karma for ripping people off with a substandard return policy, and substandard service, automotive department ripped off my Elderly father a few times I had to with him to sort things out.

I went to CT for auto service one time - learned my lesson. Huge overcharging there, brutal. They have flunky, pimple faced kids working/experimenting on your car.

Someone put the wrong sticker on a firearm and it sold cheaper than it should have, end of thread.

True they will hand you an in store Credit, I paid for a part they said was correct with cash and 20 mins later I am back talking to the same guy who wants to exchange my cash for what would be $12 CT money.

Sorry scream moral this or that but I will not be ripped off by ripoffers.

It's not Rocket Surgery boys, Store manager seems to be the only one in the store that is over 20, what do you expect.

And I will point out the OP did challenge the price several times with several different people I think it passes the test of bad management, and a mistake.

Costco on the other hand has great prices great products and has never adopted any one policy

It's true it would be fitting if they all had foam clown noses on.

I was in Wholesale Sports a while ago, grabbed a case (1000) of rem .223. When the gal scanned it, it rang in at $28.99. I asked her the same question you did. She said yup. I said you're lucky I have a bit of integrity, she scanned again and it rang in at $32.xx. Once again I stated she's wrong. Finally, the third scan (there where 3 UPC codes on the Federal sticker on the ammo can) it was $5xx.xx. "Oh" she says. Uh-huh said I. I paid and left. Then kicked myself in the ass several times.
