Thank you Lord for the fine gifts! History Repeats Itself Today!!!

Congrats again. This time don't hang it so high in the garage. Laugh2

lol, well since buddy from out of town was most likely to get this one, and he is over 6 ft tall, 6' 3'' in fact, he was made to skin it and with his feet planted firmly on the concrete floor, he had no problem reaching up there;)

Nice buck! They skin easier IMO hanging from the gams.Lay out some plastic on the floor and do most of the chest/leg /butt hole /tail and neck cut before hoisting. The pail looks like an accident waiting to happen.......hoist the rear end to chest level then raise as you progress.BTW remove the tenderloins first before doing any of the above ...before they dry out or get forgotten...I usually don't process anything weather pending the same day it was shot...Harold

You quite literally took the words out of my mouth. I do it exactly as you describe, using a gambrel is the way to go.

we had one and used to use it, it is nowhere to be seen, I'm the type of guy that buys something once, if it goes missing for whatever reason, then we improvise until someone else buys a replacement!

The Deerdr has the fastest skinning method I have ever seen and by far the best when it comes to having not a single hair on the meat. Maybe he will post his method for you's? Takes about 5 minutes and it's done and hanging with steam coming off in cooler weather!!

Congrats Two dogs. Glad to see you got some meat for the winter. I only managed to get one deer myself this season. A whitetail deer is on my bucket list. Here on van island we have blacktails. I hunt mule deer in the interior of bc and I cant do any scouting before hand, due to the travel involved, so its more luck than anything else. A big whitetail would be nice. One of these days!
