I am sorry, but this has not been my experience with Weatherby or Profit River. I purchased a Wetherby Mark 5 Backcountry from Profit River on November 29th. The unfired rifle had major issues, would not feed at all, safety would not engage without major force and the rounds would not extract without significant force. The rifle was sent back to Profit River, who then sent it to Calgary Shooting Center for repair. I did not receive feedback for three weeks from either group. After 4 weeks I had to put significant pressure on Calgary Shoot Center and Profit River and just this week, six weeks after the purchase was I told a replacement rifle would be sent but I have yet to actually receive anything. In addition to having a number of conversations with both Connor at Calgary shooting Center and Chris at Profit River I also connected with Weatherby Customer Service and was told specifically that Kyle Killen would call me to discuss the issues and he never called.
Ultimately it looks like I am getting a new rifle, and I had no intention of posting a complaint, but I do not agree with the statement that "things were dealt with quickly". A new rifle should be quality checked before it is sent out, and if issues happen to arise, it should not be such a fight to get a replacement.
