I worked at the CIL ammo plant in Brownsburg, PQ. We made over a million rounds of ammo, every day.
Mistakes were made. Wrong headstamp, wrong bullet, too much, too little powder, etc.
The mistakes were thrown into a steel drum, by the shovel full, to cook off. Sounded like we were making popcorn. Very little blew out of the drum. Center fire ammo tended to blow the side out of the case.
