The 22 Creedmoor

nice build, thanks for taking us along for the ride! Have you tried any other powders with the 88gr?

No, I only have H1000, H4350, H4895, and IMR 4198. Those powders seem to give decent accuracy and velocity in every cartridge I load. Trying to keep it simple :). I could use H1000 but I'm happy with the H4350 velocity.

I see ADG lists 22cm brass now (large rifle pocket) - I ordered up a hundred pieces. Probably squirrel them away for the next barrel

Peterson preorder is available.

Loving my 22CMs

Jerry

I'm planning to make another 22 CM because they are just so much fun to shoot! This time it will be a 20" 1:9 twist 223 barrel rechambered to 22 CM. It's a Savage Lady Hunter for my wife. It should stabilize a 73gr ELD-M at 3300 fps or higher. Jerry, that's why I emailed you about a .473" Savage bolt head :).

Appreciate the enquiry but factory parts have been tough to source. Sounds like a great option but review all your costs vs a prefit to a similar spec (or better)

The 223 is a very nice barrel to have. I keep a 223 rifle for practise and spare barrel cause this chamber gets shot alot.... a 8 or 7 twist just makes better use of the 22CM potential... Mine are all 7 twists and I have enjoyed putting hits on target towards 1500yds.

Let me know if you want to pursue. Thanks

Jerry

checked trajectory today for the 80.5gr Berger (3356 fps) at 525 & 735 yards. Pretty pleased with the results!
