Well, sitting at work away from home made me spend more money online. I've been kinda paying attention sorta looking for an 1894 trails end takedown. It's been a few years of half @ss searching and I found one. It's getting shipped to me now, so it will join my savage 99 in 30-30.

JC Higgins Model 45 sold by Sears. It's a Marlin 336. Serial number makes it a 1959.

I was in the same boat. Found a h&r handi rifle just to make sure I can use the ammo. Pretty good rifle

Will...... man where have you been over the last 3 or 4 years? Demand and by extention price has gotta insane, prices have gone up more than the housing market.

Marlin any day of the week!!..pre Remlin...best one I ever owned was a 30-30 1958 vintage with 20 micro grooves, stupidly sold it years back to buy the latest interest I had...that lucky guy out there has it now. Got my new Ruger/Marlin 45-70, can't wait for one in other calibers, definitely a return to the glory days of marlin JM marked

I have a Marlin 336 30-30. Was my first rifle that I bought 2 years ago. Took a small buck with it November. I absolutely love the gun. Right now I'm impatiently waiting for a Henry to come in stock somewhere, either 30-30 or 45-70. Wood grain.

But awin 94, 67 centennial unfired. My 14 yr old grandson fired the one and only shot. I will never use it because I bouggt it for him but he doesn't know that yet and likely wont till Im gone or he turns 25.
Had the butt cover and sling cutome made by Dallas Prince (look him up on facebook) an outstanding job and reasonably priced.
