Hey WL...........I explained this very concern for 1899 , with photos in post #13. Now I can't say for sure that all makes of brass will work exactly the same...........This was W-W brass in the 300 to 375 experiment and I'm using nickel plated R-P in the 450. I'll be sectioning one of these cases as well to be sure there is no belt/body fracturing, after I have some more made up and I get the stock bedded.
I had the same concerns with the 300 WM to 375 Ruger, but they proved unfounded, at least with the W-W brass I used.
