What is a magazine for the rifles worth?
Why do these Remington pump action rifles go for so cheap secondhand?
Is there no strong demand for them anymore?
I have seen them in gunshops and gunshows for about $400.
I think they haven't really caught on - people who don't feel the need for a fast follow up shot tend to go with bolts, and people who do tend to think semi auto is the way to go. I have to say - the follow up shots with this are actually stunningly fast, the recoil tends to kick the empty out without you even thinking and bringing it back in line with the target just naturally makes me move the pump forward. I have personally double tapped a deer as it bolted across the road at about 20 yards and the shots were both in the boiler and only about 3 inches apart - so it's both fast and accurate. Faster than i need to be honest.the first shot was fatal and the second shot was just more instinct than anything.
But i think people worry about short stroking, they don't realize how fast it is, it's not known for it's accuracy tho mine with the right ammo was pretty close to an inch, which is more than enough for hunting. These days it's all about half inch groups or rapid follow up and such and pumps just don't get the love they deserve, and they don't have the historic cool factor of a lever. They're a little underrated in my books.
About 45 bucks at cabelas. Not too bad.
If I was looking for one I would grab it if the new price now at wsports is any indication where they are going. Just about doubled in the past year there . Our good old canadian dollar once again
Cheers

I have just bought a new toy as a coyote/truck gun, a 7615P in .223. I am thoroughly impressed!! A great handling, fast shooting gun. I am really impressed with the accuracy. I hand loaded 60 gr. Speers over 23 grains of H322 and shot consistent 1" groups at 100 yards and some shots clover leafing. I thought I would regret selling my Mini 14, but this is WAY more accurate and is perfect for what I intend to use it for.
Cheers!
Understand But that is buying it in the US is it not with US dollars
That is still over 80 bucks canadian landed here
Shipping is 16.00 US alone, plus the conversion to canadian dollar plus the 10 buck clearance fee and then taxes on top of the total
Might save like 5 bucks for me in NS . Better to buy from Cabelas canada while they have the old price still
Cheers
So using that type of math, a gun that sells in the US for $300 becomes a almost $800 dollar gun here?
All I am saying it that is what that mag will cost me today if I ordered it from the US from Buds. That is a real price landed to my door
I have no idea why wholesale sports has just about doubled their price on them in the past 6 months but they did and I think we are going to see a lot of that with US supplied items this year as new stock is reordered
Just look at how powder has jumped and still climbing
Cheers

Hello, happy to finally join the club after reading this entire thread. It's a 760 300sav in good condition. It's not drilled and tapped for a scope but I can say wow! Does this thing shoot with open sights! I would have no issues taking a deer out to 200 yards or so. Bought it primarily to handload some 150's and accompany me in the truck/river boat to take out beavers and or anything else. Hoping for a good beaver bounty again this year.
