I sent 2 of mine to Dennis(Guntech on here) and he polished/altered the sears and actually replaced the spring w/ an identical spring but lighter coils(easier to compress)
Both of them came back at about 3lbs, absolutely fantastic!
And the price cannot be beat IMO!!! Very Happy Camper!:D:D

Definately a great feature of the pumps is how the trigger group can be popped out so easily, to work on, or clean. Us impoverished guys have to do them ourselves :p.
 
Thanks for the responses regarding trigger work, but I am mainly interested in eliminating creep, not so much lightening the pull or eliminating overtravel. Wonsky, did gun tech eliminate the creep in your trigger?

You know as well as I do that the Creep is the worse problem with these triggers, and I can honestly say there is very little in it now!
Dont get me wrong its not a 2lb T3 trigger, but coming from what it was it is absolutely fantastic!
Get it done, you wont be disappointed I guarantee ya!

P.S.
I asked for both mine to be 3lbs, but like Dennis informed me its not an exact science considering there is no adjustment screws to assist you.
One came back just under 3, the other just over!
 
I have a Black Synthetic 7600 in 270 and a Camo 7615 in 223.

both are actually registered to my wife BUT she bought them for me as gifts... I enjoy them both very much.
 
ATTN!

Does anyone know if the rear sight elevation slide from an 870 w/sights, or an M700/7 will fit onto the elevation ramp of a M760? I am wanting to put a set of Williams sights on my 760 but my elevation slide and rear sight blade have a "mini-dovetail" machined into them....the aftermarket sights Williams sells for Rem. rifles do not have the "mini-dovetail" rear sight. Remington is taking to long to find an answer for me.

Try oiling the shaft the pump/forearm slides over. Makes a quite a difference on most pumps. There is an o-ring in there that stops the pump from rattling and it will dry out over time.

Lol, i found that out. Took my rifle into a gunsmith to do somework on it and first thing he did was spray some oil on that o ring. Gun is probably 2-3 times easier to operate now
 
Looking for a picatinny style rail for my 7600 anybody got any leeds on one ,checked out brandon gun show could not find anyone that could steer me in the rite direction.

Go onto the Williams site you will see they divide the 760s into early & late according to serial # for site fitment.

Yeah, but neither of the sites they offer (pre 2003 or post 2003) are for the elevation slide with the dovetail. That came right from Williams on the phone the other day.

If its a screw on ramp YES it will fit, the new sight blades have two grooves instead of a dovetail but if your changin the whole ramp it'll fit!

The actual slide will fit onto a new ramp too, its only the sight blade that is different all the rest is the same. Unless you got a ooold 760 with a dovetail cut into the barrel sight.
 
I just purchased my first m 7600, fleur de lis checkering, black forend tip, 22in. barrel in 243. win. Does anyone know the y.o.m , serial #81355xx with KC 59 stamped on barrel near receiver. Seems like a solid rifle but needs a thorough cleaning. The forend has 2 cracks in it, are new ones available? The bases look wrong (were altered to fit). What would be the best scopebase? Sorry I don,t know how to post pictures. Thanks for any imput.

Your rifle was made in May 1982. As far as the cracks go, is it cracked on the inside or outside. The area on the inside(under the barrel) is very thin. Remove the fore end and fiberglass that area. Mine hasn't cracked but it looks like it could. I will be doing mine as preventative maintenance. If it's cracked right through, maybe glue, clamp and glass.
