The all new Famae flat top.

Cerakote would be the best and most protective coating. It’s a premium upgrade for most guns. Cerakoting an entire rifle is about $500 I believe. There’s also rattlecanning for $10-$20.

Bartok5, or anyone else willing to chime in, what can be done to improve the finish?

With funds not being a huge issue, would it be worth it to have this rifle coated?

Mine arrived today. poor packaging! seriously how much does it cost to add more cardboard boxing and more bubble wrap?

Was just about to order one but glad I seen the packaging issues, I have spent LOTS of money with TI and simply will not risk purchasing a $4000 (actual price out the door) rifle and risk damage or theft due to a $20 cardboard issue. Poor manors

As much as I'd like another 308, I have 2 new/unfired in that caliber that have been under house arrest since 2020. I don't need a third.

The stamped frame, spot welds, lack of irons, cheap plastic handguards, poor range results...have to pass.

Mine arrived fine. Would have liked to see a bit more protective packing material, but no damage and it wasn't sticking out, so all good.

The finish is pretty nice. I initially thought the integrated rail was a part of the receiver, but after locktite, it feels solid. Too bad it didn't come with a front sight post though. Hopefully they make it available in the future.

It handles very nice. It feels much lighter than the APC308 and it handles almost as good as the Tavor 7. I prefer the aesthetics and traditional configuration of the Famae to the Tavor 7.

It's pretty expensive for what it is, but given today’s hostile environment and the other alternatives being the Tavor 7, APC308, and Valmet, it is a great option for a battle rifle IMO.

Another range session today, to take advantage of our unseasonably warm weather. The good news? The Red Loctite held on the Optics Rail screws, with the rail remaining tight through another 100 rounds with the Arken EP8 mounted today. The Bad news? Accuracy did not noticeably improve, despite the Red Loctite and the use of a Caldwell "Stinger" Rifle Rest. Five-round groups @ 100m remained 3" to 4" with Bulk 150gr Military Surplus Ball ammo. I'm not sure how some of you guys are getting 2 MOA groups, unless you are shooting a 5.56mm SG 540, are shooting from 50m, or are counting only 3-round groups. There has to be some explanation for the difference in group sizes....

Next up I m going to try to remove the Flash Hider and replace it with a recoil-reducing brake of some sort. This will eliminate the possibility of a misaligned Flash Hider resulting in exiting bullet strikes. The other option is to try some lighter .308 loads in the 130 or 140 gr range. Aside from those two alternatives, I am about our of ideas....

Watch and shoot...

Hey Tactical Imports,

You might want to have a word with your Shipping Department. An extra layer of Cardboard at the Muzzle end might do the trick. This is what greeted me at the Post Office this evening. EVERYONE PRETY MUCH KNEW WHAT MY PACKAGE CONTAINED......

Frankly, I'm surprised that the contents didn't disappear somewhere enroute!
