The Anschutz,Cooper,Sako,Walther,Krico,Weihrauch...You get the idea, picture thread!

Currently bringing this back to life using the stock Redfield aperture sights. first go round sighting in, fine tuning tomorrow. just for laughs, shot 100 yds with remington target .22 loads, could barely see the target but managed to get a respectable looking set of hits for 100 yds no scope.

WHAT WAS I THINKING WHEN I SOLD IT TO YOU?
On the ARA target it produced a 2300 score.
I then bought this Anschutz, and refinished the stock plus installed a tuner and the best target to date is 2000. Maybe better luck tomorrow.

Im glad you did sell it to me. It does everything its supposed to as long as I do my part. :) If I have a bad target I feel I let it down.

You can tighten your groups by moving the rear scope ring up front right next to the front ring. Try it and watch the difference. Is pretty amazing. It costs nothing but a wee bit of time. And "unbinds" the receiver during ignition.
 
This one is not as nice but this is my shooter a MKll FVT bull barrel with a 3200 10X40 Elite... JP.

Are you referring to do this on the Anschutz or My 40X?
 
Caramel... How 'bout you read the title of this thread again. Not sure how your gun fits in amongst the class of rimfires noted in the title?

There are plenty of other picture threads dedicated to generic plastic craptastic guns like the one you posted a pic of, try posting there. If you have a high quality .22 rimfire you would like to show off, by all means please post a pic.

First Weihrauch of the thread: HW60 J in .17hmr.

Amazing 2-stage trigger on this one, breaks at a few oz's. Too light in fact for use in the field on gophers etc. I'll have to firm it up some.
I'm really developing an appreciation of the Bavarian, or Germanic "hogs back" style of stock.

Both will do, was referring to the Annie. .


I'm all for trying different techniques for increased consistency. How does having both scope rings mounted on the front receiver ring afford improved consistency? How could it possibly be done on the 40X ?
The Anschutz dovetail is milled in a straight line and the reciver on a 54 single shot is stiff as a parson's collar. The 40X receiver is equally stout or better. Why would this not be a practice seen on the most precise rimfire rifles, competition benchrest ?

you are starting to see it in 22BR competitions in the U.S. try it and see what happens. if it works then great, if it doesn't nothing lost. It allows the receiver to torque freely during ignition.
