Hey, The Lorax, your FN's are ####ing awesome! Lucky you. I am a lesser Canadian and cannot own one even though I could have when I got my FAC at sixteen years of age. Question: does the magazine on a "prohib" need to be pinned?

Holy smokes! Yeah, I guess I should have checked out the website prior to my last post. Going to assume they should be on par with Night Force and the like, judging at least by the price tag. Specs seem pretty good but was kind of surprised by the vertical adjustment of a few of these scopes. 70 MOA and 20 Mil in 35mm tubes were a few that I saw. Some NF are 110 MOA / 30 Mil in 30mm tubes. They don't seem to be widely used - at least I have never heard of them before. Not that I'm always right on top of things in the optics world....
The vertical adjustment range on the IOR is the same as my Leupold Mark 4 LR/T 6.5-20x50mm. I have not verified my come ups yet, but I think I can make from 100 yard zero to 1000 yard zero in one rotation of the vertical adjustment knob. Not that I really expect to use my M14 at 1K, but ya never know. The glass is very good as one would expect for the price.
On the price point I was kind of impressed that the Canadian prices are about the same as the US pricing which is certainly not the case with most other scopes. I assume it's because the IORs are coming into Canada directly from Europe without the usual middle man stop over in the US plus the middle man profit when exported from USA to Canada.

Approx 10MRAD will get you to 1000m with 308 anyway.. so you dont really even need to dial from your zero with these FFP scopes.. so long as they have marked reticles..
couple that with an angled base, and if you're shooting further then you'll be using a round that is ballistically superior to the .308 .. you'll likely never use up that elevation
I dont dial with my FFP scopes.. once i know the holdovers then that elevation turret doesnt get touched again... unless im going to be shooting at one known distance for a period of time, then ill dial to it.. but yeah, im rambling now
must be very accurate in that configuration.
