Like my Famae 540 so much I decided to get a 542... just arrived today. I still miss my old C1 from back in the day, and as an RFB, M14s and XCR-M's really haven't been adequate substitutes... I'm hoping this will do the trick!

There have been many times that I have wondered this myself. I thought those C1's back in the day were the best thing since sliced bread. So much so that I bought a reasonable copy for personal use (only to sell it just before the crazy laws were dropped on us. A Famae 542 just may scratch that itch, but mags at over $140 a pop are just ridiculous.
That was exactly what had deterred me from buying one for years... got this one with 8 mags, though, which was what tipped me over to finally buying one.
