Is that the stock from M14.ca

so that's an M14, M1Garand, and M1 Carbine? Beautiful lookers. Great collection.

I think now is a good time to submit a pic. I am a fan of the classic look.[/QUOTE]

Hi Simon. Can you pass me the model on your VLTOR rail?
Need to change the hardware to support the Aimpoint I just bought.
The base I have been using is to high and I do not want to bring a really high cheek riser.
Thanks.

Yeah I wasnt thinking there, I should have put in some info, but yes you are right it, the first is 2012 Norinco M14 that I have been working on for a while to get that classic look. the second is a 1944 Springfield Garand, and the 3rd is an Iver Johnson M1 Carbine, Ive done some work on this too, all it needs is a new mag catch and it will be right as rain, not a bad little rifle, not super accurate but very fun to shoot ( newest member to the family).

My Norc M305 Scoutish build.

This is my second M305 shorty, the first one had a severe over-indexing and after a while I didn't feel it was safe enough to keep shooting. This one however was perfect (thanks Wolverine Supplies). I didn't do much to it really. List of mods are as follows:

- Added Champion 6-9" Bi-pod after installing an improvised front sling swivel.
- Ported the stock on both sides just above the bi-pod for additional gas venting (see above) since I used the original vent hole for the swivel.
- Ported the heat shroud for cooling and a bit of aesthetics :E
- Painted the stock in a Krylon camo olive green with some black detail (still deciding if I want to camo pattern it).
-Threw my old Nikon Monarch 3 4-16x40mm on top of a Hi-Lux M14/M1A 2-piece mount (seems solid so far).
-Disassembled and polished the trigger assembly for a bit of a smoother pull.
-And because you always need additional tools with these Norc 14's, a modified cheek pad with storage pouch.

I also got the Blackrose Tactical Norinco specific muzzle brake for it but I'm holding off on removing the stock flash hider until I can find a new GLFS with front sight capability. Hope you like :)!

After I posted these rifle pics, some of the guys were wondering how this rifle shoots. Usually I shoot on a military base where the target gets indicated and patched, so it's taken me a while to get out to a range where I could take a picture of the target. I was finally out on August 31 2013.

This is a ten (10) shot group - 155 SMKs with 46 grains of Varget at 100 yards off the Harris bipod shown in the pics, scope was set to 18x. The group measures just under 1-3/8 inch including that one out to the left. Excluding that one it's just under 3/4 inch.

I'm still trying to figure out why I get that occasional shot out to the left. If anyone has any Ideas I'd like to hear them. (I did not pull the shot.)

I sent some of these pictures to J Allen and they added them to their web site.
My nephew took the pics.

Badasmo, was the flyer your first shot by any chance?

No it wasn't the first shot, it was somewhere near the middle of the string. Every now and then I get one that just wants to go out to the side like that. I have found no rhyme or reason to it, but it sure manages to spoil a nice group.

That rear iron sight, i need one like that!

What is it and where can i get one?!?

Are you interested in the hooded aperture sight or the T-Bar windage?

I bought the T-Bar Windage sight from Nick at Vulcan Gun Refinishing - just Google it. They were originally issued on M1 Garand's and then changed to prevent the GI's from taking them apart.

I picked up the hooded aperture sight at a gun show somewhere.
