The Battle Rifle Pictures Thread

Here are my two norcs. One is a socom 18 in a vltor chassis, usgi sights and shimed gas system. The other is a m305 with a usgi fiberglass stock, usgi sights, usgi gas system, also is shimmed up. I want to get a usgi flash hider for it but need to sell my zastava first. both shoot great, but the m305 is a bit more accurate then my socom.

drilled a hole through the stock and, added the swivel then used a lock nut on the other side. Took me a while to find one that would clear the gas system.

That's only damn good luck he has eyesight still. Even safety glasses aren't going to help you on a rifle failure if things fly the wrong way. There are so, so many reasons to buy western products and they don't even start with safety. But perhaps they should.

If I'm igniting more than 50,000psi inches from my face, I want western built.

I own real Springfield M1A, money well spent for quality, fairly paid labour, safety etc... I witnessed the complete bolt falling out of NORC shorty. Don't know how that happened but it did. Put mine beside the NORC and the difference is apparent. Just my $.02

Nothing wrong with norinco's, they just need a little tweaking. Remember, your comparing a 400$ rifle to a 1500$ rifle. There are obvious reasons why the sprinfield is superior to the norinco but don't hate on something that will a little work, is just comparable.
