The Benelli M4 Thread

I own 2 one strait stock ( my favorite) and one with a collapsible stock, both are the best shotgun ever, they can do it all, il'l post a video when i am back... JP.

I actually used mine for the turkey shoots at our club. Got a full choke for it, lol - Gobblin' Thunder (giggity), with a compensator. I love it. Awesome shotgun, price be damned.

Best shotgun I've ever owned. Purchased it in January and have never regretted it. Fun to shoot and have never had a cycling issue (I shot light loads after putting some 400 rounds of dirty ammo through it without cleaning it and it still functioned). Again, awesome shotty.

I bought mine this past April and have had it out three times at my brother's farm shooting clays, steel targets, assorted old home appliances, and various other items that come to mind when you have the run of 50 acres and a Benelli M4. I own some neat firearms but this kit is all that and more. There is nothing new I can add that others here have not already stated. All I can say is this.....If you were to take a shovel, the full size garden spade with the long handle, and swing it with all your might upside my head just after a session with my M4....you might, just maybe....wipe the smile off my face.

Looks like buddy had a FTF in that video with his most reliable shotgun ever. My 30 year old 1100 never has.

Hmm in 30 years never? Of course, there is no way to substantiate that claim. Also the FTF probably had something to do with a weak load.
Furthermore, I'm sure one could find more 1100's that have issues than M4's with issues.

Which is why the United States Marine Corps, US Navy Seals, LAPD, US Secret Service, Australian Forces, Greek EKAM Special Forces, Italian Special Forces, Irish Special Forces, Israeli Special Forces, Lithuania, Malaysia, Moldova, Philipine Special Forces, Slovakian Special Forces, United Kingdom as the L128A1, South Korea and other Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies around the world are arming their personnel who go in harms way with the Rem 1100........oh wait.........

I have in no way owned it for 30 years. I have fired it a couple hundred times since I have owned it. With 0 FTF/FTE. I clearly am aware that is in no way a mil spec qualification number blah blah. He used a clip with a malfunction. I am just saying.

Like was that the best take? Sorry. Damn and I run junk through mine. Not even a hiccup. Even the old paper shells that sweetened the deal ran perfect. Plus the winchester 190 buddy through in for a total of $500. I also don't have to wear sunglasses and gel my hair.
I'm just messing around. Ya ya they're nice shotguns.

I read that a M4 to be accepted as the official US army and Marines shotgun, had to go tru a test were 25,000 rounds were fired non stop, the passing note was no more than one failure on 25,000 shots and that on 100 shotguns, all of them had to succced for the Benilli to be accepted, now that is a real though test, will try to find the link for you guys... JP.

Hey M4 dudes, are any of you having a problem with keeping the choke tubes in tight? I noticed the tubes get loose after every range trip and this is even after I tighten them with all I got. :bangHead:

Sorry to hear about your troubles with the choke tubes. I've never had to re-tighten since I got the firearm and played around with it. Have you oiled the threads? Maybe that will help?

jric1308

Never really oiled them, but I do keep them (threads) as clean as possible, I'll try putting some oil on em next trip to the range to see if it helps, thanks .

Sometimes I wish these guns came with fixed/permanent barrel choke tubes.

I hope it fixes the issue. If not, call Stoeger (they're in Whitby, ON) and tell them about the problem. See if they'll send you a new choke to try.

Best of luck and let us know how it ends up.

try some anti-seize paste or dab of thick grease.

Anyone know where i can find one of the KZ Benelli M4 Quad Rail System forends? I've searched everywhere and everyone I come across that retails them, is out of stock and has been for months.

Yep - but range visits get expensive! .....

You're right about 'being built like a tank' - easily the sturdiest firearm I've ever had in mitts.
