i just test fired one at the Easthill range day...the Beretta rep recommended the Bushnell red dot (that's what he has on his)

OK, the TRS came as a one-piece with a separate mount - which I assumed was a high-mount. Is the idea to use the TRS without the mount at all?
As I noted, the mount itself is opaque, so no possibility of IS.

Tried same height skeletal mount, not quite high enough. What am I missing?

You want the low mount. Just fold down your irons and you are ready to go!
 
I tried the TRS25 without any mount, and although it co-witnessed perfectly, it just felt too low, even though it lined up perfectly with the irons.
I got a UTG low mount and sighting is much more comfortable.
 
It's a gun I really want to hate but cant find a god reason, so I bought one lol.

Aside from the looks, it's everything I want out of a short range plinker.
 
Anyone have a good 10x scope recommendation? I recently tried one on a low riser to compensate for the built in iron sites and at 100m the scope was 4" high and could not be adjusted any lower.
 
Hi, l've got a Vortex Strike Eagle 8x24 on my Storm. Guy who sold me it said "whoah, you out scoped this gun." Will do 2" group at 100 yds on bag rests. Good enough for me for 9 mm
 
I still love mine, Its a fun winter shooter because I can use it at the pistol bay. Less walking in snow. I paid $500 for mine tho new so I cant complain. Good for the GF to shoot to.
 
one of my favorites as well.
i had Barry from bits & pieces install a non restricted heavy barrel & refit the factory barrel shroud.
topped with a vortex spitfire..it's an awesome carbine.
