The Beretta CX4 Thread

I just bought a mint (restricted) cx4 from another nutter here. It's in 9mm. It came with the top rail and the 2 sides. How do I get the bottom rail without buying the tri-rail?

Also, which mag really works? PX4? 92FS? How about 96?

Answers are much appreciated. Thanks

The tri-rail is the two side rails with the bottom rail. The bottom rail is a custom piece with two wings that fit under the side rails.

hey guys,

was wondering how much would be the price for a used one, non-restricted in a good shape ?
Any point to check before buying a used one ?

thanks

Almost 2000 rounds through mine with no ftf/fte (except the one time I installed the ejector on the wrong side of the bolt).
Had that happen to me once in the feild.
Couldnt figure it out right away until breaking it down and then saw the error of my ways.
2 min later back up and shooting.
As for the 96 mags.. is there not some tweaking in the mag well that needs to be addressed?
Been 4 or 5 years so memory is fuzzy.

Here's my 9mm NR. Shroud and Magpul AFG2 on the way.

Let us know how the AFG2 looks/fits ( maybe a good pic?). I have only ever seen the original AFG and wondered if the AFG2 would be OK...

Took it to the range again today. Cut the bulls eye right out of a target with it, at 50 yds. Works well. Tried shooting 100 yds but it was all over the place with cheap 115 grain ammo. I'm having issues with the base loosening off though. Not sure what is going on but I'm going to pick up some loctite tomorrow. Any specific type I need for optics screws?

I can take all the pictures you want. Let me know what you want to see.

ok, thanks, I will look up the mag well and adaptor.

This weekend, I got to try mine (9mm restricted). I shot freehand first at 25m and the group was within 2 inches, all at the point of aim using the stock sights. I then shot supported and the groups even became tighter. I was using 147 grain ammo. Not a single hiccup, FTEs or FTFs. This thing is my new favorite -- it runs like a top and is very accurate. She is a keeper!!!

no failures at all, except when I tried .40mags in it. they work great in the pistol, just not in the carbine.

This may be my problem. I had 5 FTF's Saturday afternoon with 100 rounds of .40 S&W (180 gr S&B). I thought it might be only one of the mags, but they both seemed to work well when I only loaded them with 5 rounds each.
10 rounds, and they would begin jamming due to FTF's again.

Anyone else experiencing something similar? Could the truncated cone of 40 S&W be a contributing factor?
